Brief description of site
Cleeve Prior Manor House has a garden of the 16th to the 18th centuries. Features include an 18th-century summerhouse, a double row of clipped yews and topiary yews representing the twelve apostles and the four evangelists.
Brief history of site
The house was built in the late-16th century. The topiary may date from the 17th century. Until 1999 this site was listed Grade II on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England, but has since been deregistered.
