Brief description of site
Broxwood Court has a formal garden with extensive tree-plantings including an avenue and an arboretum. There are terraced lawns near the house, but the former geometric flowerbeds have been removed. The former kitchen garden has been partly converted to a flower garden. There is a park with ornamental tree plantings.
Brief history of site
The garden and park were laid out by 'Davison the Gardener' to the designs of W.A. Nesfield between 1859 and 1862. In 1955 the house was demolished and a new one built, and the garden layout simplified and modified.
