The early-20th-century formal gardens at Westbrook were designed by Gertrude Jekyll in collaboration with the owner and architect of the house, Hugh Thackeray Turner.
Brief history of site
The house was built between 1899 and 1900 and the gardens developed into the 20th century. The original layout included woodland paths to a boathouse and footbridge on the River Wey.
