Cambridge University Botanic Garden, Rock Garden, Cambridge, England
Record Id: 3752
The rock gardens are composed of two separate rock gardens, one of limestone and the other of sandstone, both of which overlook the lake. Plantings in the limestone garden include plants from all over the world, and they are grouped according to their country of origin. The sandstone garden contains plants that do not grow well in lime soil. Acidic humus is regularly added to the soil so that the plants flourish.
