Brief description of site

Brancepeth Castle Kitchen Garden is about 3 hectares in size. The garden lies south east of the castle. It is an elongated polygonal shape with a terraced walk on the outer west and south sides. Other features include the Garden House which probably dates to the early-19th century.

Brief history of site

The first documented record of the kitchen garden is found on a painting dating to around 1680.
