Brief description of site
The Walled Garden at Hutton-in-the-Forest was originally a Dutch garden to the north of the house. It has two walled sides, created in the 1730s by Henry Vane Fletcher, to encourage the growth of fruit trees. The other two sides are yew hedges which were added by Lady Vane in the late 19th century.
The garden is now a flower garden containing herbaceous and annual flowers.

Two walls were added in the 1730s. During the late 19th century the other two sides were enclosed by yew hedges.
