Brief description of site
The Low Garden at Hutton in the Forest is a formal rhododendron garden.
The design is made up of paths in a pattern of two interlocking stars. At the centre is a sundial. The plants are a mixture of evergreens and shrubs.
The owners are planning to restore the garden which has become overgrown.
Brief history of site
The garden was created by Lady Vane in 1870. She was advised by Anthony Salvin.
The garden became overgrown during the 20th century and the owners are considering restoring it.
