Brief description of site
Youngsbury has an mid-18th-century landscape park and woodland covering about 56 hectares. The gardens around the house occupy about four hectares, including 16th- and 18th-century walled gardens.
Brief history of site
In around 1745, David Poole built a new mansion at some distance north of the old one, which was demolished. During the 1760s, or possibly earlier, Lancelot Brown produced a design for the park.
