Brief description of site
Westwood Park is a 17th-century house, remodelled in the late-19th century, in a 17th-century deer park. Some of the original dense tree planting survived into the 20th century in the north-west of the site. There are avenues and a lake.
Brief history of site
There was a house on the site by the 12th century. The present house was built after 1571 as a hunting lodge in a park, and later extended in the 17th century. Further alterations were made in the 19th century.
