Brief description of site

Ston Easton has gardens and landscaped pleasure grounds of around 5 hectares and the remains of a park of some 87 hectares.
The site is now a hotel and wedding venue, and is open to guests.

Brief history of site

John Hippisley-Coxe (1715-69) began to rebuild a Tudor or earlier manor house which had been the family’s home in the 17th century. The grounds were laid out around 1793 by Humphry Repton. Further additions to the layout were made around 1814 by Lady Hippisley.
