Brief description of site

Stoke Edith Park includes a late-18th-century landscape park with the remains of a mid-19th-century formal garden. The house of the late-17th century was burnt down in 1927.

Brief history of site

The site had formal gardens, which were laid out in the 1690s with advice from George London. Humphry Repton improved the park in the 1790s. W. A. Nesfield laid out a formal garden from 1854. The house burnt down in 1927.
