Royal Victoria Park is an early-19th-century public park with an avenue of trees, a lake and a botanic garden. There is also a bowling green and tennis courts.

Brief history of site

Royal Victoria Park was designed as a public pleasure park by the city architect Edward Davis. It was opened in 1830 by Princess Victoria. The park was managed privately during the 19th century. Bath City Council took over its running in 1921.
