Rousham has a landscape park which includes gardens, pleasure grounds and a walled kitchen garden.

Brief history of site

The present grounds were laid out between 1715 and 1720 by Charles Bridgeman, and remodelled between 1733 to 1740 by William Kent. Kent retained much of the earlier scheme but incorporated important views over adjacent land, at the same time adding more Picturesque features such as ponds and cascades. The gardens have remained largely unaltered since the 18th century.
