Brief description of site
Rodmarton Manor has early to mid-20th-century gardens surrounding an early 20th-century house.
Brief history of site
In 1884 the Kemble estate, including Rodmarton, was bequeathed to Michael Biddulph. In 1894, he gave 223 hectares to his son, Claud, who in 1906 married Margaret Howard. The Biddulphs decided to have a new house built in about 1909 and commissioned the Arts and Crafts architect Ernest Barnsley to design it. The garden was part of the original design.
