Brief description of site
Pontypool Park is an early 19th-century landscape park with modern additions for leisure and recreation. There is a well-preserved 19th-century shell hermitage, and unusual twin icehouses of the same period. The northern section of the park is occupied by a large mid-19th-century arboretum.
