Llanerchydol Hall is a largely intact, early-19th-century castellated house in a picturesque situation to the west of Welshpool. The park is well-preserved. A Japanese garden was added in the early-20th century.

The architect Thomas Penson advised on the gardens, which include a sunken garden.
