Brief description of site

Badger Dingle is a wilderness created in a valley landscape. William Emes landscaped the site to bring out its 'picturesque' qualities. Emes created several pools and cascades along the course of a stream and built garden features at suitable points.
Badger Hall has been demolished but the site has remained as a local tourist attraction.

Brief history of site

Badger Dingle was created in around 1780. James Wyatt was commissioned to build an extension to the hall and a summerhouse between 1779 to 1783.
