Babworth Hall is set in a landscape park which is now in divided private ownership. Its features include pleasure grounds, a lake and a terrace around the house. It is possible that the current 18th-century house was built over a deserted medieval village.

Brief history of site

The landscape park at Babworth Hall was created in the late 18th century by Humphry Repton, who produced a Red Book in 1790 and was active at Babworth during the 1790s.
