Brief description of site

A site and castle from the late 12th century, with a 17th-century house altered in 1847-51. There are lawns in the bawn, and steeply terraced gardens to ponds.

Brief history of site

12th century castle replaced by early 17th century Plantation Castle, remodelled mid-19th century.
