Brief description of site

The Hirsel Country Park comprises farmland and areas of forestry with a designed landscape around the house and the River Leet. The structure of the 18th-century walled garden survives. Walks around the country park take in a late-18th-century lake and follow winding paths through a 19th-century woodland garden with rhododendrons. Ornamental gardens around the house date from the mid-20th century.

Brief history of site

The parkland is 19th-century in character but was laid out originally in the late-18th century. Some tree planting from this period survives.
