Astley Hall is situated within Astley Park, a late-17th-century park which was re-landscaped in the early-19th century. The site was adapted as a public park in the 20th century, and now occupies 43 hectares.

The site has been occupied since at least the 15th century. The gardens have remains of the 17th- or early-18th century layout.
