Hesketh Park features a lake and wooded walks. Separate garden areas include the American Garden, the Clock Garden, the Specimen Garden, the Herbaceous Walk and the Mixed Flower Garden.

Brief history of site

Hesketh Park was designed as a public park in the mid-19th century by Edward Kemp, and was further developed in the 20th century. The land was donated by the Rev Charles Hesketh.
