Brief description of site
Halswell House has mid- to late-18th-century landscaped pleasure grounds of around 27 hectares set within a park. There is a series of landscape buildings attributed to Thomas Wright.
The house is now a hotel and wedding venue, and open to patrons. There are also occsaional open days. Please see:

Brief history of site
The pleasure grounds and parkland which were developed from early 18th-century formal gardens and parkland by Sir Charles Tynte, who was a close associate of Henry Hoare of Stourhead and Coplestone Warre Bampfylde of Hestercombe.
