Narrative:

James Williamson, junior, Lord Ashton from Lancaster, England was a businessman and philanthropist active in the late-19th and early-20th century.  In 1914 he purchased St George's Gardens in Lytham St Annes, England and gifted them to the people of the town. The name of the gardens was changed to Ashton Gardens in his honour.
