John Bell was a 19th-century monumental sculptor and printmaker. He was active from the 1830s and his work was concentrated mostly in London, England. Born in 1811, in Hepton, Suffolk, England, Bell was educated in Norfolk, England and at the Royal Academy Schools, London. His works were shown at the Royal Academy and at the Great Exhibition. John Bell died on 14 March 1895 at 15 Douro Place, Kensington, his London residence of 40 years.
