Sir Uvedale, Price, first baronet, was a writer and rural improver active in the late-18th and early-19th century. He was born at Foxley, England in the parish of Yazor, Herefordshire, where he was baptized on 14 April 1747. Price was the eldest son of Robert Price (born 1717, died 1761), a gentleman artist.
