Organisation - Urban Parks Forum

Description / history

The Urban Parks Forum was formed in 1999 to make the most of the opportunities provided by the establishment of the Heritage Lottery Fund's Urban Parks Programme.

The organisation originally focused on the conservation, restoration and improvement of the classic historic urban park of the Victorian or Edwardian era.

As its remit widened, the organisation was relaunched as GreenSpace in June 2003.
