Prior Park, Somerset. A close-up of the Palladian Bridge. Showing the stone balls on the balustrading at either end of the Bridge. The bridge rises to the main central section. The balustrading goes across the whole bridge. On the lower level of the bridge can be seen five arches, which also contain a damn effect to hold the lake back at the house side of the Bridge. The central section has a roofed portico at each end, each portico with three pediments, four arches with an Ionic pillaster on either side of each arch. The centre of the bridge, links the two porticos. The roof of this section is upheld by four Ionic Columns and the two Ionic pillasters on either side of the arches of the porticos.
