Great Dixter looks to the future
The future is looking more secure for Great Dixter in Sussex with the award of more than £4 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The garden, designed by Edwin Lutyens, is renowned for the adventurous planting by its late owner, Christopher Lloyd.
The house and garden are now run by a charitable trust, which must raise another £3 million to fund plans for the estate’s maintenance and development as a centre of horticultural training for students adventurous planting by its late owner, Christopher Lloyd.
