Gardeners get chance to design Olympic Garden
British Gardeners will have the chance to design a Great British Garden for the 2012 Olympic Park. The competition, which is being run in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), is designed to show off one of Britain's favourite pastimes - gardening. Amateur gardeners from across the country will be asked to submit designs for a quarter-acre plot on the 2012 Olympic Park. The garden should show off the unique qualities of a contemporary British garden within a parkland setting. The garden should be in bloom for the duration of the 2012 Olympics, 27 July to 12 August.
There will be two classes, one for those aged 16 or under, the other for those 17 or older.
For full details and application forms see the RHS website.
