Celebrating orchards- The Full Bloom Festival is here
This week signals the start of the Full Bloom Festival which is the celebration of traditional orchards in the springtime. The festival is part of the Conserving and Restoring Traditional Orchards in England project led by the National Trust and Natural England. The project began in 2008 and will continue until 2011. The Orchard Network has also been established as part of the project. In the first year of the project, 12 new orchards have been created and 27 restored.
There are many activities taking place during the Full Bloom Festival. For more information, please visit the website.
